Drawing Portraits

I’m thrilled to be taking a portrait drawing class with the amazingly talented Suzanne Paleczny.  We have had two classes to date and I wanted to share some of my work with you – one is a partial self-portrait done with pencil, the other I blacked out the page using a graphite stick and then used a needed rubber eraser to create the portrait (I loved this technique – and the finished product – and am really excited to keep exploring it).

  1. You are very talented! I love seeing the pictures you show here. They bring back memories of my mom’s sketches. She also is very talented. The technique you speak of must be very fun. What a great idea.
