A Very Cold Yarn Bomb

yarn-bombed-truck

On Friday, on behalf of Yarn Bomb YukonJessica Vellenga, Bree-An Lucas, and I yarn bombed a truck for the Winterval Parade that took place on Saturday.  It was -37 degrees Celsius outside, but luckily we had a fabulous friend lend us her garage for the assembly so we were only working in -10 degree temperatures (which means we still had toques, jackets and snow pants…but were able to brave bare hands).  That said we still went for the “speed yarn bomb” by pulling out the zip ties and rare earth magnets (which are amazingly strong).  We managed to pull it off it a little more than an hour and no one suffered from hypothermia.
