The Craft Project

Learning From A Master

The Adaka Cultural Festival is going on in Whitehorse right now.  It is an amazing and inspiring celebration of First Nations culture.  Over the last few days I have been lucky enough to take part in two workshops: a stained glass workshop with Amy Tessaro and a Northwest Coast design with Richard Shorty.

They were both amazing experiences.  Amy gave me the set of skills I needed to design my own piece of coloured glass and Richard had me draw for three hours straight and managed to teach me mountains in the process.  I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with such talented artists.
