Last weekend my amazing friend Alex Murdoch was in town to work on a new album. He headed out to his family’s beautiful cabin on Atlin Lake and brought Tyler and I along for company. It was absolute paradise out there. We hiked, took out the boat, went fishing, sat around the fire, played board games, schemed up fun projects, ate great food, explored the old telegraph line camps, and marveled at how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful part of the world. We also turned the trip into a mini artist’s retreat: Alex wrote music, Tyler took photos, I sketched, and my dog Shiloh ran back and forth between the three of us showing off the newest sticks she had found. It was good for the soul and I thought I’d share a glimpse of it with you through a couple of sketches.
