Every year the Yukon Hospital Foundation runs a Festival of Trees at the end of November as a fundraiser. Local businesses and organizations decorate trees and wreaths to be displayed at a set of community events and then to be auctioned off to raise funds for the charity. This year they asked Yarn Bomb Yukon if we would create a wreath for the event.
We opted to forego our usual bright and flashy colour palette in favour of something more aligned with the season – white. We created a white crocheted wreath with a handmade bow.
If you haven’t had a chance to see the wreaths and trees in person, and you don’t already have a ticket to Friday’s sold out Senior’s Soiree and Saturday’s sold out Grand Ball, you have one more chance tonight at the free Multicultural Community Open House. Here are the details:
At the Multicultural Community Open House enjoy food, music and dance, view the beautifully decorated trees and visit the kids’ corner for crafts and fun!
