Wish 150 Yukon Mosaic Opens in Kluane

Canada Day marked the 150th birthday of our nation.  To celebrate, the Wish 150 Mosaic traveled to Kluane National Park and Reserve, along with a few of the artists, as part of the park’s celebrations.

It was really lovely to celebrate the day in the park – Tyler and I took our baby, Inara, and our dog, Shiloh, for a road trip the week before through Skagway and Haines Alaska and Kluane, timing things to arrive for the opening reception.  It felt really important to spend a week in the wilderness before stepping to the podium to speak about the value of wilderness that inspired my portion of the mosaic.

The mosaic remains in Kluane until the end of the month, and will then move to the final leg of it’s tour at the Yukon Arts Centre‘s Community Gallery on August 4th.
