Tomorrow evening Yukon Artists @ Work will open our newest group show What About the Peel? I’m really excited about this show. Our gallery co-op members have created work inspired by the Peel Watershed, and in some cases by the current campaign for the watershed’s protection. Guess where I’ll be in two months time? Make It Vancouver! I’m busy creating a set of new Christmas card designs for the show this weekend. A few months ago I was teaching a mixed media course for the City of Whitehorse. I needed to make a sample piece of techniques to help my students generate ideas for their own work and so I sat down with all of them and for about ten minutes randomly demonstrated techniques on a tiny canvas.
