I’ve been intending to create a space on my website to highlight original artworks I have available for sale for quite some time now. Last night I finally got around to it. You can find the page here. If you’re interested in any of the work or would like more information don’t hesitate to contact me.
I’ve had the chance to put prints together from the Yukon Ho work. I wanted to let you know right away as I know some of you have been anxiously waiting. You can find them all on the Raven Mad Designs Etsy site here.
My solo show, Yukon Ho, opened on Friday at Yukon Artists @ Work. The opening went fabulously and I took most of the weekend to recover. I’m finally feeling a bit more rested today and am excited to share the show digitally with all of you here. And to celebrate I would also like to give all of you a present. For the duration of my show (until February 13th) I am offering 10% off any work in my Raven […]
I had an amazing time today at Cranberry Fair. There was so much traffic at the booth and people had such wonderful, supportive, and flattering things to say about my art (a few quirky comments here and there as well). One of the most exciting moments for me was when Nathalie Parenteau whose work I adore (and have covering my walls) complemented my work. The oddest was someone telling me, “You must have a very strange mind”….umm thank you, I think. […]
When I started the Craft Project part of it was a dream to one day become a “real artist”. Even though I’ve now had a couple of solo shows; am a member of Yukon Artists@Work; and have had my work recognized I’ve always found it difficult to really call myself a professional artist. But today I took a big step and finally feel like I’ve become a “real artist” with the launch of my business Raven Mad Designs. I now have […]

I’m excited to say that some of my prints have been selling from my Etsy shop. It’s a wonderful feeling when the email arrives in your inbox letting you know that someone has purchased a piece of your art and it will be finding a home with them. I really want to pass on that feeling of joy on to the person who chose to support me as an artist (if you think about it, every print that sells supports […]
As promised, I have started putting some of my clothing and accessory creations for Raven Mad Designs online in my Etsy store after a successful stint at the Sunstroke Music Festival. The first items to be added are my blind contour t-shirts (hope to add some bottle cap necklaces and rose necktie accessories later this week). Blind contour drawing is a technique where the artist focusses all of their attention on their subject and does not look down at their page […]
Following through on the process I began earlier in the week, I have decided upon my 2011 New Year’s resolutions (and not a moment too soon as today in fact is New Year’s Eve and I’m due at a big party in a few hours). I wanted to create a visual representation of my goals so that I could share them with you in a more meaningful way. I’ve made a concentrated effort to align this year’s resolutions with the manifesto I […]
